1. The children’s Act
1960

- ·
Provides care, maintenance, welfare,
training education and rehabilitation of children
- ·
Following type of children may come
under this act:

Neglected child who found bagging,
without home, orphan, whose parents are unfit for child care, who lives with
prostitute, whose parent’s have leprosy, who is in moral danger
2. Juvenile Justice Act
1986
- ·
It is now replaced by new juvenile
justice act 2000.
- ·
It imposes on the state primary
responsible of ensuring that all needs of children should be met along with
their basic human rights.

This is used who has not completed 18
years of age and has involved in some illegal things, robbery , begging,
suffering from terminal or
3. The child labor act

It is to prohibit the engagement of children
in certain employmentso that regulation can be made
- ·
This act doesn’t allow a child whose age
is below 14 years of age to engage in any employment especially it also
regulates the condition of work in certain non hazardous work.
4. The Child Marriage
restraint Act
- ·
female 18 years and male 21 years
- ·
Male 18 to 21 years, if it happens than
there must be a punishment with simple imprisonment of up to 15 days or with
fine up to 1000 rs, or even both

Male >21 who maries girl below 18
years may get 3 month imprisonment and fine
- ·
If minor is getting married than parents
or guardian will get 3 months of imprisonment up to 3 months.
5. Education for all Handicapped children Act
1975
- ·
It has refurnished many times
- ·
Again in 2005 it amended by individuals
with disabilities education improvement
- ·
Children with hearing loss or auditory
process disorder may get benefits under this act
- ·
They may get free education
6. The child abuse prevention and treatment act
- ·
Most recently amended in 2003
- ·
It prevents sexual abuse, and other
crimes where children is involved,the person who allows this will get
punishment
